Equipment

  • Skillet
  • Saucepan
  • Plate

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup nacho cheese sauce
  • 4 large tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup diced onions
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: sour cream guacamole, salsa

Instructions

Prepare the Beef

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles.
  • Drain excess fat, then add salt, pepper, cumin, and paprika. Stir and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until well incorporated.

Prepare the Cheese Sauce

  • Heat nacho cheese sauce in a saucepan over low heat until smooth and warm.

Assemble the Wraps

  • Lay a tortilla flat on a plate.
  • Spread a generous layer of nacho cheese sauce in the center.
  • Add a portion of cooked beef on top of the cheese sauce.
  • Add shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onions, and sliced jalapeños.
  • Optionally drizzle more nacho cheese sauce on top.

Wrap It Up

  • Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll from the bottom up.
  • Secure the wrap by tucking in the ends and using a toothpick if needed.

Serve

  • Serve immediately while warm.
  • Pair with tortilla chips, salsa, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Beef Selection: Use ground beef with an 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio for the best flavor and moisture.
  • Cheese Options: You can experiment with different types of cheese like cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Pepper Jack for added variety.
  • Tortilla Options: Flour tortillas are commonly used, but corn tortillas are a great gluten-free alternative.
  • Vegetarian Version: Replace beef with seasoned beans or plant-based meat substitutes.
