Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips optional
  • ½ cup chopped nuts optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line the baking pan with parchment paper or grease it with butter.
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter and whisk in the granulated and brown sugars until smooth.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  • Mix in the chocolate chips (and nuts, if using). Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them into squares.
