Ingredients

  • 1 cup cottage cheese fresh and creamy
  • Parchment paper
  • Oil spray optional for crispiness

Instructions

Baking in the Oven:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with oil.
  • Drain the excess liquid from the cottage cheese using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  • Spoon small mounds of cottage cheese onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each mound to form thin, round chips, leaving space between each.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet. Once cooled, they will crisp up further.

Microwave Method:

  • Cut parchment paper to fit your microwave plate and lightly spray with oil.
  • Drain the excess liquid from the cottage cheese.
  • Spread an even layer of cottage cheese onto the parchment paper.
  • Microwave on high for 2-3 minutes or until golden and crispy. Watch closely to avoid burning.
  • Let the chips cool for a few minutes before breaking into snack-sized pieces.

Notes

  • Ensure the cottage cheese is thoroughly drained for crispy results.
  • For added flavor, try seasoning the cottage cheese before baking or microwaving.
  • These chips can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days in the refrigerator. To restore crispiness, reheat in the oven or air fryer.
